Latest research on Cialis

Tadalafil is an orally adminstered drug used to treat male erectile dysfunction (impotence). It is marketed worldwide under the brand name Cialis. It is a phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. Tadalafil's distinguishing pharmacologic feature is its longer half-life (17.5 hours) compared with Viagra and Levitra (4-5 hours). This longer half-life results in a longer duration of action and is, in part, responsible for the Cialis nickname of the "weekend pill." This longer half-life also is the basis of current investigation for tadalafil's use in pulmonary arterial hypertension as a once-daily therapy. [Wikipedia]

Recent treatment guidelines for LUTS/BPH include the use of several regulatory-approved pharmacologic classes including the phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor (PDE5i) tadalafil (LY450190, Cialis, Adcirca; Eli Lilly, Indianapolis, IN, USA) [7]. [source, 2013]
Tadalafil (40-mg dose once daily) is also approved in many countries under the trade name of Adcirca to treat patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension. [source, 2013]

Now introduced in 50 countries with multiple PDE5i formulations (tadalafil or Cialis, vardenafil or Levitra), patents expiring globally, and investigations for off-label use, such as in cardiovascular disease [4] or altitude sickness [5], [6], we may not only see an increase in the amount of PDE5i prescribed but also more long-term side effects surfacing as a result. Sildenafil (under the tradename Revatio) and taladafil (under the tradename Adcirca) have also been approved for the treatment of ailments related to smooth muscle tissues, such as pulmonary arterial hypertension (Sebkhi et al., 2003; Corbin et al., 2005; Wharton et al., 2005). [source, 2012]
Similarly to Sildenafil, two other inhibitors with higher selectivity for PDE5 were developed for the treatment of erectile dysfunction: tadalafil (Cialis) and vardenafil (Levitra). [source, 2012]
In the second through fourth steps, searches were made on websites that advertise and sell counterfeit Cialis (シアリス), Levitra (レビトラ) and Viagra (バイアグラ). [source, 2012]
